Oh it's not limited to Jeeps!!
Back in late 80's, it was early summer and metal creek was way high! we were on 4 wheelers. I watched a lifted 84 (or so) Ford pick up with 44's get swept down streem. Driver jumped out and with in 4 mins the truck disappeared!! GONE! Complete loss! He was with about 4 other rigs ... I have no idea the details but I have heard of at least 3 other full size rigs that have been swept away, but I have only seen one first hand. I bet it happens every few years and only smaller circles know about it.

I'm not a fan of metal creek! I'll watch thank you!

i remember when i was younger we went out there on 3 wheelers and seen a 6x6 get swept down stream and roll over in ther creek. danny down at bjs in palmer lost (like never seen again) his 75 hiboy with, at the time the biggest ground hawgs you could get. after it when in the river they flew over the area only to see it upside down and salvaged the axles, the next day they went to go get more and it was never seen again. he got lucky no one died, his family was in the bed of the truck. hard lesson learned. just ask jack and his fj40 he got real lucky.

yup i came close in my scout . it changes so fast make it across and be only hub deep have lunch on the glacier and it will be over the hood !

I've been pushed down that creek in my bronco.. Scary shit. But I didn't piss my pants like my passanger did that day :) That was a M&G he'll never forget...

I hate that place.. But the glacier is just too good to pass up. But if the water is hugh, I wont endanger my rig or anyones life again.. Been there done that no thanks!
