You better come correct if you wheel with Jonny. He talks truck loads of shit but backs it up loaded. INSANE is all I can say. He went up the Gate Keeper and snapped a duece shaft. Retarded shit in there. RETARDED>>>>> No vehicle on earth is built to go to this place.

Jonny had his camera going alot. I am sure he will post up with video. He spent a month getting ready for this trail and only made it about 100ft further than last year.

Time for a report. Takes a while to load all these pictures. We showed up at the Pipeline Wed afternoon. Got a chance to check out all of John's upgrades on his rig. That thing is almost full on Buggy these days. Doug showed up with his XJ locked front and rear and running 35" Boggers. That thing really impressed me for what it was.

We made it down through the bogs fairly easy and stopped at the gold camp to take some poser shots.

After that we headed to the camp spot to drop our gear and continued to the Gate Keeper trail. John found this spot last year on our trip. I had never been there. Just getting in there was rough. I sat at the bottom and watched as John climbed up the first bowl and bowed out. This stuff is straight up buggy territory. Insane and pictures don't do it justice. Once you get over this bowl it drops and climbs back up a second bowl with VW sized boulders. The other fellas will have pictures of that. John snapped a stub shaft on his Rockwell frontend and only made it 100ft further than last year.

Me and Shannon were sitting at the bottom waiting for John and Josh and decided we better go around through the brush and see if they were ok. It was a nasty climb through the hills up and down and trying to see through the brush what the ground was doing. We made it to the top and could see John in the bottom of the bowl moving boulders with his winch trying to get out in three wheel drive.

As we were coming down off the mountain we spotted John back down in the river bed.

And this is where I come to the flop part of the story. I was rolling through the brush trying to stay slow and see the ground through the brush. I dropped into a hole which caused me to hit the accelerator which punched me up a side hill on the drivers side. It dropped off on the passenger side. It happened quick but also felt like slow motion. As I started to go over it sent me up on one tire, rear passenger and over I went. Both me and Shannon had about a split second to react and grab on to what ever we could. We made sure each of us was ok and then checked the dog which was in the cab as well. Found one of our radios and called John, Josh and Doug. I was pretty calm over the radio apparently. I said "Hey, you think you guys could come give us a hand? We need to get flopped back over". They thought I was joking. Anyway on with the photos and damage.

We yanked her out and shannon ran on his quad back to camp to grab some ATF. Lost about 4 quarts. Added a little oil and fired it up. She smoked a little but ran great. Nothing on the suspension or drivetrain was harmed. You know what they say "Keep on truckin!"

We headed up to the Glacier and we each went our own way. I took off up a rocky cut and found a crazy ICE CAVE. It was insain. Boulders as far as you could see. Massive boulders!
