Tony - King Quad
Jake - Toyota on 33"s
Glen & Larry - XJ
Bob - TJ
Black bronco (sorry, forgot your name)
Me - big red bus

Maiden voyage parts 2 & 3;
met up at seldon Tesoro around 11:00ish, my stupid injector started cutting in and out (after running it around for an hour at work with no problems), made it to the trail to the left and the stock bronco wisely turned and headed back, with the truck running like junk I followed them out.
Had my wife bring my box of chevy stuff and swapped the injector assembly at the little su bridge. Ran like a champ, headed back up to catch up with the others. made it to the top (at least what I'm gonna call the top) :D
First let me say bump-steer is for the birds.. only being able to turn left is a major disadvantage as well. thought I had &%$#$@ up my steering box so I nursed it back most of the way then it stopped turning altogether. eventually figured out that I had sheared the splines off the pitman and the bolt had been sheared off inside so I beat the old bolt out, cleaned out the splines, peened the heck out of the inside of the pitman and installed a new bolt. Made it back to my work anyhow.. crossover time for sure..

All in all an excellent day, had a blast, got dirty, glad I had all my tools and a bunch of random hardware with me.

I just wanted to thank you guys, I appreciate you waiting for me and guiding me on my first time out. It was really good practice, the driving experience was good and I think I learned a few lessons to use on my build of the 88.

It was great actually hitting a trail... I just can't believe it lasted so short, but I think I made a great choice turning around when I did. I think I hit that first big hill like a bumper car, and my tires didn't seem to want to go anywhere.

For what little bit I was able to go, the Bronco did great. No damage, except for a slight bump in my right sidestep from getting too close to a tree on the way out. The mud was horrible! I gave the underside a spray afterwards, but that mud stuck to the bronco like glue. What a pain to remove! lol.

I don't think I'll be doing anymore wheeling with the 96, I'm going to focus on getting the old one trail ready.

was a great day. I made it to the 'top' and back to the house under my own power, found a few things that need attention, and met some great people. so Id say it was a success. Ill see what Larry got for pictures and work on getting them loaded up.

Rodney, you should have taken a couple steps to the right when you took that solo pic of your truck at the 'top' and gotten the wreck in the background...get artsy

Good trip and glad everyone and everything made it back in one piece. Pretty uneventful for me aside from learning to not try to take pictures, talk on the radio, and navigate cable hill all at once. Wound up in the rock face and Thought I lost a Lightforce but it was just a marker light and bumper corner.
Had a good time y'all!
A couple phone pics...

You bet, get the old one up and going and come wheel. definately a good call turning around when you did. I had to head back to fix my truck as well, that spot where you turned around I didn't have enough power to go over that bump

You got waaay close to that tree, did your passenger mirror survive? I think I have a spare one in the shed if not.

Only have a couple pics from when we stopped and waited for Rodney to do his repair and catch up. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day to sit and BS on the side of a mountain.
