Sled and/or ATV advice needed...

Ok so I have decided that I want a new toy. I have been wanting an ATV for quite som time but unsure what to get. Now I am torn between getting a sled or an ATV. A sled would help with the long winter boredom but would most likely be useless once I leave AK, which will hopefully not be until 2012 or 2013 now. :D An ATV could be used anywhere but not very usefull up here for winter. So my first question is what would be better to get if 1 is all I can have ATV or Sled? Then my second question is what brand, size, etc of either a sled or ATV would be good for a beginner?

Sled can only be used in the winter (Unless you like water skipping, and potentially ruining your sled)

ATVs can be used summer and winter... and can be used utility wise as well (Plowing, grating, etc).

If I could afford either of them, it would be an ATV hands down.

IMHO it would be the same as your buddies! If your friends have sleds the. Go that route. If they have wheelers go that route. IF you got a wheeler you could make a trip with us!!! But getting any wheeler or sled at that price will have issues. The price for that Polaris is about right but it has perimitive suspension. And the ride will kill you on some of our trails! A wheeler can be used around the house to plow or yard work.
