to password protect the trip report forum? The outcome will not change the fact that its protected, more just curious what the consensus is... :confused5:

In fact... after some time to sleep on it... I don't think I'm going to password protect it.

What I am going to do, is create a usergroup, that members can be apart of, that have the ability to post and view in the trip report section. If you are not designated to view the area, you won't even see that section of the forum.

It will be like the recovery contact forum. If you are not on that recovery list, you can't even see the forum....

Well good. I'm glad this decision is inline with most of us think is necessary.

I am never for censoring stuff... especially pictures, but I think we've got a good comprimise going. I believe it hurts us more than it helps us to have un-moderated pictures public for all to see. A small win for "Them" in the short term, but a big win for US in the long term I believe.

The "new" trip report section will have trip reports that will be public for all to see, and I think they will help shine a positive light on our sport. It will be updated from the "other" trip report section as they populate. It cannot be posted to by general members, so if you have something you want to put there.... PM Dougie (He is the mod for that section).
