Losi 1:18 scale Mini Rock Crawler. Does pretty good right out of the box. I have some upgrades planned. Going to move the battery onto the front axle so it's not so top heavy, upgrading the steering servo, replacing the plastic front/rear/center lockers with metal ones, replacing the pastic knuckles with metal ones. Eventually I will build a full tube chassis, put some weight in the tires and upgrade the rims to true beadlocks.

do these things actually have a problem with debeading?

Yeah when they get wedged in the rocks the rim can come loose and just spin. Tey are just glued in there. You would be surprised of the amount of torque these things have.

You should put some lead shot in the tires if its top heavy. The weigth will help with traction on climbing too. Don't fill the tires full. Just a thought:patriot:

how long does a battery last on that thing Dougie?

Is there a gas conversion? If so... do they make a shift kit for it? Nitros?

The stock battery las about 45 minutes. They have some new LiPo batteries for it which charge much faster and last twice as long. No conversions for gas that I know of. Some of the larger scale ones might though. 1/10th scale.

:biggrin5: Yeah but those are not hobbies. 4 wheeling costed way too much and the camper was awesome but wouldn't work with the baby on the way, so we sold it in hopes to buy a better one. Geez Phil. :biggrin5:

Yeah there are a few places they do this. They have a smaller one 1/24 scale as well that's a bit cheaper. But you are a big spender so I'm sure you'll want this one. :biggrin5:

I'm not high currently. Well wheeling could be I spose, the building and tinkering is a hobby. I don't think camping is a hobby. It's recreation but not really creating anything. But I guess to some it could be a hobby.
