Zero Lake/Herning trail 11/28/2009

A few of us met up for a trip to run Zero Lake trail. The trail was froze for the most part... couple soft areas, but nothing we couldn't get through easily...

We ran out of trail pretty quick (We took the Herning trail back to where it begins, instead of taking it towards Willow). We got to the firestation around 2.

We took a couple offshoots that got pretty narrow, some spots required some "Maintenance" :smilewinkgrin:. After going down a trail that ultimatly just got too narrow, we headed back.

FYI, the parkinglot that a lot of us park at when trailering to Zero Lake trail (The one off the left side of the highway before the road), is private property.. and the owner does have printed out flyers he puts on your windshield... :toetap05:

Great run guys, wish it would have taken a little more time to get to where we were going though, we convered some good ground, but with how froze it is and so little snow.. made it like a highway...

Look like you all had fun. We ran across some of your tracks by the FIrehouse while in Houston. I am worn out lol guess I should have taken a rig and gone with you all vs a snowmachine out. Be interesting to do that and see how far you make it going up Hatchers side....thats where the fun is lol:hand:

Yea...dont worry we moved all down trees off the trail. Kinda had to since my wife got hung on one and so did I lol:rofl:

I don't think you guys went down this trail... unless you you removed the tree that was directly in front of where we turned around at...

It was too low for even a snowmachine to go around/through, and too big around for my chiansaw...

Ya almost 90% sure. Seen cut trees and bogger imprints lol. We removed a couple trees that had been "ran over" nothing too serious tho. We pretty much followed your guys tracks back out from Zero Lake logging road out Hearning trail to the Fire Department lol. Funny tho cause we went that way first from Houston. All the snowmachine tracks you seen at the end was ours. We were the only things that had gone back there...was so nice lol
