Maybe i should just set it on fire...ugh. So I lost 4H the other day. Pulled my manual hubs apart and they look fine. Shifter linkage looks good. From what I've read, it looks like it may be the transfercase, (BW1356) most likely the shift fork pads. I won't really know until I pull it apart, but that will have to wait until I get home later this week. It also jumps out of gear when I put it in 4L and give it some gas. I read this could be caused by the TransCase mounts and transmission-TransCase bolts being loose, and/or the pump broke loose and is spinning around the shaft. Again I dont have the tools to check it out.

I haven't had much luck finding a replacement (everything's been closed for the holidays). Anyone know where I could find a cheap replacement in Anchorage and what I could expect to pay for one? Just something that would get me through rebuilding mine.

I'd imagine you'd be able to find a slip yoke 1356 on craigslist pretty easily... but the fixed yoke are a little tougher to find.

You may look into a rebuild kit though, will prob be much cheaper than a replacement fixed yoke 1356... unless you can find someone who does not know what they have and is willing to get rid of it cheap... again, craigslist will prob be your best bet.
