VHF Giveaway Feedback?

Anyone have any ideas on how to make this process better? The point is to get as many VHF radios out there as possible, for as cheaply as possible. As many of you know, VHF is a far superior means of COM than CB or FRS. The more people who have them, the better it will be for everyone while out in the AK wilderness.

We've given 2 of these away so far, and seems to have gone pretty smooth so far.....Ideas anyone?

we could increase the limit on the number of tickets allowed per person? this may end each donation limit sooner? you would not want someone to buy all but 4 tickets and wait for another to pick them up with bad odds of winning though... One person could not hold more than 30% of the tickets? I dont know...

I guess we could increase the amount to 6 per person? This way the best ratio you could have would be approx. 3-1? (6 tickets of 19 total?)

Would anyone have a problem with that?

maybe $25 for a ticket and giveaway a $100 item also that you are eligable for every time still oonly eligable for the radio every 12 months but this would keep the people who win interested.

Well... thats not a bad idea. The problem is, is that we need to collect enough money from enough people to cover the cost of the radio package. That alone, is hard enough to do on a every other month basis (Cheap bastards). If we added more items that we had to cover, it would take that much longer to get the money up, and almost two months is borderline too long anyway.

Ideally, I'd like to get one of these out every month... but it all depends on how fast people buy the tickets... which is turning out to be pretty slow.

Good idea though... if we could get more people involved and committed to participating, it would make that much easier... but again, not everyone has $20-$25 or more (Or even feels good about month after month) to potentially put towards someone else's radio...lol But again, that is the nature of this, and I'm sure everyone is aware of how these kinds of things work.

Also... does anyone have an issue with how we do the drawing? Anyone have any better ideas? Anyone else willing to do the drawing (Kaylene said she would like to pass the torch...lol)?

I would prefere it be someone who does not have a dog in the fight so to speak.. like someone who already has a radio.

This person will not be aware of the numbers that have been issued to each person, and the drawing will be out of my hands completely.... I think thats about as fair as we can make it I think....:hat:

if you want tony i will draw the number now that i am not eligable, you assign the numbers i will draw them and then send the video to you to decide who won, there is no here say there if i dont know whos numbers are what and you dont know what i picked till you ge tthe video.... just an idea.

also now that i am not eligable can i still donate 20 under another wheelers name to keep the tickets flowing? then if they win they win? just a thought i would pay an extra 20 here and there to get more radios out there.
