Hey, I've been a member of alaska4x4network forever and someone just told me about this forum and I wanted to check it out, Very cool, I like it, I'll have to frequent here often. I drive a 74 K5, 400 small block, Sm465, Np205, 14bolt FF rear, 10 bolt front Welded. I am in the middle of my Dana 60 swap for the front end.

Welcome aboard:54:
I'm in Peters creek. Yeah, I just picked up a 84 Crew cab with 1 tons on it. My blazer already has the 14 bolt FF rear but I gotta toss that damn 10 bolt front!. Good news however........My K5 has 4.10's and the new crew cab has 4.10's also. So I don't have to mess with the rear axle swap anymore, just the front. I plan to go crossover eventually. I'm only running 38 TSL Sx's right now because of the 10 bolt front. I got some Zero rates when I do my swap to move front axle forward an inch also. I want to run atleast 40's as big as 42's. I really dig the LTB's in the 40x15.00 flavor. Does anyone kow a guy named Alan on here? he drives a K5 also and put a old funky 1 ton chevy rear end in his blazer, I wheeled with him one time up Ruby Lake area, he had a buddy in a reg cab Dodge that also went, good dude, I had a fun time. I was driving that John Deere Green Suburban at the time. I built it and then sold it:banghead:. oh well, it was a real pain in the ass off-road due to its length.

thanks. Are alot of you guys DORC members?. I remember seeing alot of DORC rigs at meet and greet, those are some pretty serious rigs!! I see a trend with the Ags, are they really what they are cracked up to be?. I'd like to have a strictly trailered rig with Ags but I also want to drive to the trail sometimes. I think I'd go crazy if I couldn't just jump in my truck and drive it whenever I wanted. So I think the sloution is TWO rigs Ha HA. Someday.

Most of the members of DORC frequent this site. I just recently went through the tire decision thing with ags as well. I deceided to go with brand new boggers, so that I can still street the rig if need be. Plus, with my driving style, ags could be pretty bad for my junk...lol

I think preston is screwing with jeremy about the hulk that had a dana 44 and 39.5s and then 42s tsl which are now on aarons cucv. And speaking of that i saw the hulk running down dowling today.
