Well I hope I don’t forget anything here. My niece and nephew are up for a visit from North Carolina were my brother in-law is stationed (went back to Afghanistan again for his 4th rotation) for the month of July. They made it up here in time for 4th of July and want to spend it riding 4wheelers. We loaded up the RV and went to my dad’s cabin by the lake in Houston to spend Friday-Monday with the kids and Dawn parents.
Day 1
We unloaded everything at the cabin and went for wheeling trip down some local trails in the Houston area and down my Little Su area. We brought the boat as well but it rained about every day we were there. Made for some nice muddy rides though.

Day 2
Took the kids and wife to the wonderful Zero Lake trail. It was the first time Dawn had been there in the summer time. Not much to say other than..yea its Zero Lake, full of swamp, mud, and good times. Rode some more local trails around the cabin area as well. Great trails in the area!

Day 3
We decided to take a break and head into Wasilla. They were doing train rides at the transportation museum and we could resist. Kids loves the little train ride lol. Afterwards we went to Hatchers Pass to check out the old gold mines. We did the trip from Wasilla Hatchers through Willow side since it was open. I forgot how long of a trip that was lol. Later that night we shot off A LOT of fireworks and did a short 4wheeling trip.

Day 4
Well I had to work…..Dawn took her and her parents to Talkeetna to visit and show them around. Of course they went to Latitude 62…….didn’t even bring me back cheese cake, what gives!

Looks like a great trip. Plenty of mud that's for sure.
