Boulder for 4 days 7/9-7/12

I went AGAIN to boulder creek this last weekend to do some exploring. The mission was to try and find a way to get over to Hicks Creek through the Dreese Pass trail. I was able to find a trail that went that direction, but turned out to get too sketchy going up stream. The trail pretty much went away, and you were stuck going through a blind boulder field, or up the creek, where the boulders started getting pretty big to be going up. I turned back (This was up West Fork) when it started getting too much. The key to this route will be coming in the Hicks side to see how much closer you can get. Coming down may not be so bad. I was able to get within about 3 miles of my tracks from Hicks BTW.

I did find lots of other trails I haven't been on back there. None of them went anywhere, but the views from the top were pretty cool.

There was ONE trail, that went in the right direction, and appeared to go over a pass, before the swamp, that may have potential. The problem is, there is another valley you'd need to traverse, before you could make it over to the caribou creek area (I couldn't tell if it was doable or not, as I only really was able to see it well on the way out).

The next mission will be from the Hicks side, to see if we can get any closer from over there.... hopefully another 4 dayer (Or longer).

Anyway, the weather was beautiful half the time, and shitty the other half... but well worth it. I officially know boulder better than anyone I know now... :rofl:
