Hey all, I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been browsing through the forums and you guys seem like you are more than willing to help a fellow 4x4 in need. I can most certainly respect that.
Anyhow I just bought a place in the palmer about a year ago and have been building my Ford P.O.S for the last couple years... Just got it back together with its 3rd and hopefully final engine, 3rd set of axles, and second tranny...All told, I have left a small junkyard worth of fords in my wake to pull this clunker together into some semblance of a mud worthy vehicle. Tyler is my name, and when it comes to wrenching on fords , trial n error is my game... lol
Anyway a few specifics on my truck(the ones I can remember anyhow).
83 F-250
14 in. susp. lift
Dana 70 Welded Rear
Dana 60 KingPin Front
5.13 Gears
Mildly Built 460+C6 combo
Full MSD Ign.
Headers,Intake
Holley 770 TA Carb + Holley Elec. Fuel
Snorkel
Goodyear M/T 37's
etc. etc. etc.
It rides about as stiff as a bobsled, but she articulates pretty well for leaf spring suspension.
I am still in the fine tuning phase with this carb, and I am trying to find a couple nearby mudholes to test in along palmer fishook... There is a nice one at the trunk road intersection, but it draws a little too much attention for my liking.
Anyhow, its a pleasure to meet you guys and I hope to see a few of you on the trails in the future...
