this is a builder truck for my 12 yr old daughter for her and i to work on together this winter . we will be building and wheeling it all winter as it gets better so she gets a chance to see the fruits of her labor .

I found this in Kevins yard one day and after seeing how clean the cab was and the drive train i knew i wanted it !

she has very low miles for being 30 yrs old

i spent all day working on it and all day trying to keep her running she would not come off idle without popping and dying and sounding like she was on 3 cyl !

well after cleaning off the motor to see what jewel in the rough i had, she was pretty complete and solid but i didnt have much oil pressure ..so i was nervous , but after checking the condition of the oil it was 3 quarts low ! wow

so i ran some cheap napa oil in her and oil pressure went straight to 50 psi !! outstanding now im getting some where !

i am a huge believer in marvel mystery oil on old engines , its still the best mechanic in a bottle i have ever found ..she will clean most sticky valves or lifters and help clean any heavy oil sludge in the engine .. make sure after running in the block for a while you change filter and oil soon !! she cleans that good !

now she was idliling fairly well , still need to tune and clean carb , plugs are still very nasty but she is idling very nice now . with that covered for now i also started to remove those side steps to gain some clearence and free up some horsepower !

this was very easy to do i was surprised i thought id be fighting rusty old bolts but to my surprise she was clean !

oh and anyone see whats wrong with this rotor ? this is the main reason she is running on 3 cyl ! lol so for $4.50 and shot of marvel mystery oil she purrs like a kitten now
